          Fight Travel Brazil

          Picture

Fight Travel Brazil is an organized trip to Rio De Janeiro, geared towards giving Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners the opportunity to train at one of the worlds top BJJ/MMA academies. This experience will not only give you a chance to improve your skill, but will also allow you to visit and enjoy some of Rio’s greatest attractions. The cultural aspect of this trip is every bit as important as the training. You will have the chance to interact with local practitioners on both a training and social level. Fight Travel Brazil is the trip of a lifetime, and has been designed to allow you to get the most out of a short visit to this fantastic place.

          About Brazil

Brazil is a place where you want to be. The lifestyle and culture are addictive, the people are beautiful, the landscape is picturesque, and the sun is always shining. MMA and BJJ are a way of life for Brazilians. Think of ice hockey and Canadians. When a Brazilian wants to play hockey, they can’t possibly train there at the same level as they could here in terms of instruction, popularity and the general skill of the training pool. And so this is why Brazil is simply THE place to go for MMA and BJJ. This trip focuses on the gem of Brazil, Rio De Janeiro. Rio is truly one of the best, most beautiful and most fun cities on earth. It's basically the center of Brazilian culture in many ways and is the place to visit to get the true Brazilian experience. Any Brazilian would suggest that given a limited amount of time in Brazil, it should be spent in Rio.

          About the Academy

We will be training at the Nova Uniao Academy headquarters. For those of you who don’t know, Nova Uniao is a leading international MMA organization, based in Brazil. Nova's leader, Andre Pedreneiras, is a fifth degree black belt under the late Carlson Gracie. Andre and Nova Uniao are responsible for giving black belts to fighters such as BJ Penn and Vitor Ribeiro. And for those of you who don’t know, UFC fighter Thales Leites trains here too. This is one of the best gyms in the world and you will all have the opportunity to train there daily. The academy is located at Academia Upper, a luxury fitness center with not only the MMA and BJJ training, but also full fitness facilities with steam, weights, cardio, pool, and fitness classes of all kinds.

          Trip Info

Touring: Rio has a whole lot to offer in terms of touring and activities. Perhaps the most famous symbol of Brazil is Jesus the Redeemer, the massive statue of Jesus with open arms perched atop of the Corcovado mountain. It's so high and so huge that you can see it from the plane when flying into Brazil on the plane. You can also see it from just about anywhere in all of Rio. Rio's other most famous tour destination is the Sugar Loaf, a strangely shaped mountain jutting straight up out of the middle of the city offering perhaps one of the best views you will ever see. And of course there are more places that we will visit such as the Lagoa, an intercity soccer game at the world famous Maracana Stadium, and more.

Beaches: Rio is famous for it's beaches. You've undoubtedly heard songs about them, and they are definitely worthy of writing music about. Copacabana and Ipanema are not only picturesque and beautiful, but are also probably the best people-watching beaches on earth. Everything you've ever heard about Brazilian women is not only true but was most likely also understated. In one word, 'magical'. The sun here is strong and you will go home with a tan that will make all of your friends jealous of you. Rio has many more beaches than just Copa and Ipanema though, and we'll visit Leblon, Barra, Flamengo and of course Botafogo.

Accomodation: We will strategically be staying at the Brothers Hostel in Botafogo Beach. It's just a short 7 min walk from the Nova Uniao Academy and is also just a generally wonderful place constantly filled with friendly Brazilians. Botafogo is a NON-tourist area, which means that its very safe and offers the experience of Rio life, without all of the other stuff that is generally found in very touristy areas. Brothers is right beside Botafogo beach and has a fantastic bar downstairs and 2 across the street that are packed almost every night of the week.

Price: $2,699/person + hst (this can be divided into 3 payments if requested).
This includes round trip airfare, accommodation, full gym membership, and all touring and activity fees.

Your trip will be 2 weeks long. Please contact us by email or check our Facebook group for details about the exact dates of our next trip. Between the training, touring and relaxing, you guys are in for one of the best experiences of your lives.
